Carol Cora (Weber) (Briggs) Shaffer, nee Jahnke, 94, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Ernest and Caroline Jahnke; husband, Joseph Weber; husband, Glenn Briggs; son, Wayne Briggs; and granddaughter, Rachel Weber.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ed Shaffer; daughter-in-law, D’Anne Briggs; children, Gary (Deb) Weber, Jody (Michael) Loud, Gregg (Mona) Weber, Bob Briggs, Cindy (Tim) Johnson, Lori (Dave) Pelowski and Mark (Jean) Briggs; stepchildren, Bonnie (John) Strand, Linda Tuttle, Mark (Anne) Shaffer, Wendy Mohs and Eric (Leslie) Shaffer; 47 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Join us to celebrate Carol’s life on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Visitation from noon to 2 p.m. and service at 2 p.m. Private interment to follow at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Please consider wearing purple in honor of Carol.
