David B. Sleeman, 92, of Cecil, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 in Shawano. David was born on Feb. 12, 1927, in Mineral Hills, Michigan, to the late Harold and Violet (James) Sleeman. He graduated from the Iron River, Michigan high school in 1944 and the Michigan Technological University in 1950 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
David proudly served in the United States Army in World War II. He worked for Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee, retiring as the manager of operations, mineral systems division. In 1968, David was united in marriage to Madylyn M. Miron.
David is survived by his wife, Madylyn; two daughters, Susan Wright and Cynthia (Jon) Gibbs; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert, Clarence, Keith, and Lee.
