Cruisers Yachts is launching its newest fleet, the VTR. Designed and built in Oconto, the VTR line combines rugged capability and yacht-level craftsmanship.
The fleet debuts with two models: the 38 VTR, featuring an open cockpit, and the 38 VTR EC, which boasts an enclosed cockpit with climate control for all-weather boating. Both are powered by Mercury Verado outboards, with twin 300hp or 400hp engines.
“The VTR is more than just a new boat—it’s a new way to think about boating,” said Mark Pedersen, president of Cruisers Yachts. “We’ve created a platform that delivers yacht-level quality in a versatile, family-ready package. It’s where luxury meets utility, and it’s built right here in the U.S. for the next generation of boaters.”
The 38 VTR reflects Cruisers Yachts’ dedication to designing boats that are as functional as they are refined. Key features include a single-level deck, dedicated cooler storage, wide walkways, deep gunwales for added safety and a fully private head with shower. Multiple layout configurations allow boaters to choose a design that best suits their intended use of the boat, whether for entertaining, cruising or adventure.
At the heart of the VTR is an innovative hybrid stepped hull, developed in collaboration with DLBA Naval Architects. Purpose-built for stability and performance, the hull offers smooth handling, quiet operation, and superior sight lines.
“The VTR’s hull is a masterclass in balance,” said Christopher Swanhart, director of recreational boats at DLBA Naval Architects. “We engineered it to deliver efficiency, predictable response, and a smooth, stable ride in all conditions, so owners feel secure and in control.”
