Casimir Pulaski Day is a holiday celebrated around the country, on the first Monday in March, honoring Revolutionary War hero Gen. Casimir Pulaski. One of the goals of the nonprofit organization has been to educate the public about Count Casimir Pulaski and why this community was named after him.
Bringing awareness not only to the residents of Pulaski, but to neighboring communities, the schools and businesses are another goal of the organization. The nonprofit group is focused on tourism and business growth for Pulaski, hoping to make the village a destination for visitors from around the world year-round.
Currently, the organization is looking for sponsors and donations for this event. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate. For information, call 920-822-4450, email promotepulaski@gmail.com, or visit www.casimirpulaskidays.com.
