Alex Luke Blackowl, infant son of Cassandra Cox and Brad Blackowl, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at home. Alex was born Dec. 5, 2019, in Shawano.
Alex is survived by his parents; his siblings, Alezaha King, Cameon King, Taylesia Blackowl, Kingston Blackowl, Karter Blackowl, Kamilah Blackowl, Tayson Blackowl and IsaBella Blackowl; maternal grandmother, Jennifer Young, of Shawano; maternal grandfather, Doug (Jean) Cox, of Keshena; paternal grandmother, Rachel (Quintin) Fernandez, of Middle Village; paternal grandfather, Daniel (Muriel Fish) Blackowl; aunts and uncles, Douglas (Alea Fowler) Cox Jr., Alicia (Dalton Soman) Penass, Gatlin Ready, Daniel (Camille) Blackowl, Carlos Fernandez, Trista (Elmer Denny) Dickenson, Bruce Dickenson Jr., Avari Fernandez, Lily Fernandez, Leno Fernandez, Argina Blackowl, Brody White, Chris (Lisa) Lechterman, Jonathan (Katie) Lechterman, Jennifer (Josh) Meyer and Justin (Kate Vogel) Lechterman. He is further survived by cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his uncles, Alex Cox and Lenard Fernandez; a great-grandfather, Luke Beauprey; and other relatives.
Traditional services began at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, and will continue until 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at the Rachel and Quintin Fernandez residence, W5124 Wekopemeh, Middle Village. Burial will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in spring.
