Several road projects and one bridge replacement are slated for Shawano County in 2026, according to an official with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
The DOT’s Tony Kemnitz ran down the list for the Shawano County Highway Safety Commission on Jan. 27.
Two projects will cover parts of state Highway 29.
First, a pavement rehabilitation project from County Road J to Spruce Road will be completed from April to November. Another a pavement rehabilitation project from County Road M to Highland Road from April to October.
State Highway 22 from County Road BE to the Oconto County line will be the subject of a a pavement rehabilitation project from May to October.
A pavement resurfacing project will be completed on state Highway 156 from state Highway 47 to state Highway 55 from June to August.
U.S. Highway 45 from County Road C to Gollnow Road will be the subject of a a pavement rehabilitation project from May to October.
A a pavement rehabilitation project from is slated for County Road BE from Highway 22 to Whitnee Way from May to June.
Finally, the County Road D bridge over the Embarrass River will be replaced from May to July.
