Division 2, Waupaca Shawano and Oconto Falls’ girls teams tied for first place with 122 points each, followed by Wittenberg-Birnamwood in fourth with 89 and Menominee Nation in eighth with 19. A Suring High School athlete is one of the Wisconsin students named to serve on the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) inaugural Student-Athlete Leadership Team in 2024-25. Ginger Gerndt, a Suring junior, will be one of three District 2 members. In total, there are seven districts with 27 students. The purpose of the team is to serve as ambassadors for their peers and the WIAA while learning more about the sports industry.

New London’s AA Legion team qualified for state after going undefeated in its home regional in late July. As for Shawano, the team initially lost 8-3 to Waupaca. Shawano then eliminated Antigo with a 15-4 win and also eliminated Waupaca with an 8-3 win.
