Another of College of Menominee Nation’s high school cohorts will display their theatrical talents this summer. Titled “Showcase,” the short scenes taken from full-length shows will collectively offer students in the theater production course an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in cast and crew roles.
Students featured in the showcase include Ashaylex Awonohopay, James Awonohopay, Harmony Doud, Cece Grignon, Sara Kelley, Taylesia Pamonicutt, Nevaeh Pecore, Givon Peters, Payton Pocan, Johnathan Sechrist, Christina Warrington, Levi Warrington, Kai Wayka, Kenzie Webster-Wayka, Dacey Webster and Christopher Wilber Jr.
The 20-minute showcase will be staged at Menominee Nation High School’s Commons at 10:30 a.m. June 24. Admission is free, but all visitors must arrive early and adhere to the high school’s visitor policy.
The student-theater practitioners are participating in CMN’s Learn and Earn program. Funded by the Wisconsin Technical College Systems Grant, the program allows high school juniors and seniors to get a head start in college while gaining confidence in their ability to succeed in higher education.
