• Carla Ann Shafman, 32, Hancock, pleaded no contest Jan. 22 to child abuse recklessly causing harm. Judge Jay Conley approved a deferred judgment agreement withholding a guilty finding for 18 months if conditions are met.
Deputies responded to 48 incidents, including three traffic stops, three citizen assists, three miscellaneous traffic incidents, three welfare checks; two open-line 911 calls; 11 ambulance calls; three crashes, one involving deer.
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is accepting applications for three positions on the NWTC district board of trustees.
The following categories will be filled with candidates living within the NWTC district:

James C. Radford, who has been charged with first-degree homicide in connection with the shooting death of his wife nearly 10 years ago, is still without an attorney, and Shawano-Menominee County Circuit Court Judge William Kussel Jr. is getting fed up with the delays.
