Gov. Tony Evers has signed an $11.9 million contract to improve state Highway 29, between County Road J and County Road M, in the towns of Morris, Seneca, Herman and Richmond.
Work started March 30. Vinton Construction Company is the prime contractor for the project. Crews are under contract to replace existing guard rail, repair concrete pavement, replace concrete pavement in five areas and replace a culvert under westbound Highway 29.
During construction, traffic on Highway 29 will be maintained using single lane closures and bi-directional traffic.
Construction is scheduled for completion by Nov. 5. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
