The Shawano School District will host veterans, their families and community members in a special Veterans Day celebration Nov. 10 at Shawano Community High School, 220 County Road B, Shawano.
Attendees should use Entrance 1 or Entrance 35.
The morning will begin with breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by an anticipated Blackhawk helicopter landing at 9:30 a.m. The Veterans Day ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m.
Breakfast is complimentary for veterans and $5 for all other attendees.
The celebration is made possible through the support of the Shawano School District and generous community partners — including Shawano’s Hometown Heroes, the event’s breakfast sponsor, and Charlie’s County Market and Fire Fitness Camp Shawano, the event’s flower sponsors.
“This is an opportunity for our students, staff and community to come together in gratitude and recognize the sacrifices made by those who have served our country,” wrote Kurt Krizan, superintendent, in a press release. “We are proud to honor our veterans and grateful to the community partners who help make this special event possible.”
