What may seem like a minor incident may quickly turn serious, especially for older adults. That’s why ThedaCare is sharing tips to help people stay on their feet.

“Workplace violence is a workplace hazard and should not be accepted,” said Jamin Homan, ThedaCare registered nurse.

Homan’s comments capture the essence of why ThedaCare has strengthened its efforts to help curb the likelihood of violence on its campuses. Homan is one of the experts leading the movement to reduce and prevent incidents of violence at ThedaCare.

FRIDAY, OCT. 31

MOUNTAIN: Youth Pumpkin Hunt, 4-6 p.m. Green Lake Park Picnic Shelter, 13322 State Highway 32. No charge; youths must be accompanied by an adult. All participants receive a small gift; five main prizes for youths who find a hidden pumpkin in the park.

Dana Brenner was already a home-based worker when she decided to start another business, Dana’s Duds Laundry Service.

The personalized laundry service was started by Brenner in Shawano about two months ago.

We very much enjoy the Amish community. They are a life-giving, generous, friendly group who seem to thoroughly delight in serving people.

With a freewill offering, one can enjoy a breakfast hosted by the these sweet folks, located in rural Marion. Homemade pancakes accompanied by scrambled eggs (with ham and cheese), ham slices, porky links, orange juice and coffee are on the menu, along with a melt-in-your-mouth glazed doughnut.

Add unique flare to this winter’s indoor garden and décor with double amaryllis. The several layers of colorful petals are sure to make a statement wherever they are displayed.
