Aspirus debunks myths about hypothyroidism

Nearly 5 out of 100 Americans ages 12 and up have hypothyroidism, though the disease is most common in women over the age of 60, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Hypothyroidism is an underactive thyroid gland, which means that the gland doesn’t make enough thyroid hormones to keep the body running normally.

Singers invited to Easter cantata
Singers are invited to be part of a musical celebration of Easter by joining a choir at Grace Lutheran Church, 501 S. 2022 Trump Lake Fish-O-Ree canceled
The American Legion Sylvan Post 44 and the Wabeno Lions Club have announced the February 2022 Trump Lake Fish-O-Ree has been canceled. No reason was furnished for the cancellation, but both groups said they expected that the Trump Lake Fish-O-Ree will be back in 2023.

Kurt and Pam Butler, of Lakewood, recently retired from leadership positions in the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs after many years of service as director (11 years) and representative (15 years) representing Oconto County. Gresham Scholarship Fund cancels annual banquet again
At the Gresham Scholarship Fund Board of Directors meeting in January, it was decided to cancel plans for the annual fundraising banquet, which was scheduled for March 26. This has been the third consecutive banquet to be canceled, according to spokesman Robert Klopke. He said the organization is hoping that the COVID-19 pandemic will soon be brought under control, so that a banquet can be scheduled and completed next year.
