Area community and business leaders gathered Feb. 26 for the Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet, an extra special event this year as the chamber is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

The black-tie affair was held at the Menominee Casino Resort, where members honored top individuals and businesses for 2025.

Cavities, root canals and braces are just part of the job for Shawano dentist Rebecca Stevens.

So is community service and that’s one of the reasons her practice, Shawano Family Dentistry, was named Service Business of the Year for 2025. The Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce recognized Stevens and her staff Feb. 26 at the chamber’s annual banquet at the Menominee Casino Resort Convention Center in Keshena.

Megan Brady is all about community over competition — a sentiment reflected in her business, Fresh Face Co.

Fresh Face Co., 111 N. Main St., opened its doors in 2020 and is the Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Small Business of the Year.

When Brady was told she would be honored at the chamber’s 100th anniversary banquet Feb. 26, it could not have come at a better time.

Uriah Williams, executive director of the Shawano Area United Way, was chosen by the Shawano Area Young Professionals as the saYPro 2025 Young Professional of the Year.

Through his work with the United Way, Williams is busy with many projects and organizations.

• Destiny R. Rockman, 37, Neopit, pleaded no contest Feb. 24 to three counts of possession of methamphetamine, six counts of felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer, battery and two counts of disorderly conduct. Judge William Kussel Jr. levied fines and court costs and sentenced her to 750 days in county jail.
