Nicolet Plastics marks 40 years in Mountain

Fast, fluid,and flexible.

That trademarked saying is a major reason for the success of an Oconto County business that is still going strong after 40 years.

Nicolet Plastics marked the occasion June 25 by holding an open house for the public, customers and suppliers at its 41,000-square foot production facility, located at 16685 State Highway 32, Mountain.

Get pumped for some new bike action

There’s a new biking adventure in Shawano.

A pump track playground has been installed at Kuckuk Park on the southwest side of the city on Oak Park Drive.

Pump tracks are already available in Green Bay, Appleton and Wausau, but this is the first in Shawano County.

Ingold bond reduced from $250K cash to $10K

Michael Ingold’s bond in a case involving the threat to public officials was reduced June 29 from $250,000 cash to $10,000.

Christopher Restemayer, Ingold’s new attorney, argued for a $250,000 signature bond, noting that at the time the bond was set Ingold was still charged with first-degree homicide in the death of his live-in girlfriend. Ingold was acquitted by a jury at the end of April.

Shawano-Menominee Court News

• Twila M. Shawano, 55, Bowler, was found guilty at a Sept. 25, 2024, jury trial for possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor bail jumping. Judge Katherine Sloma imposed and stayed a jail sentence June 23, then placed her on one year of probation with conditions.

Oconto County Court News

• Chase Aaron Zima, 22, Green Bay, pleaded guilty April 28 to possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor bail jumping. Judge Jay Conley withheld sentencing June 23 and placed him on two years of probation with conditions.

• Cheyenne R. Hakes, 32, Shawano, pleaded no contest April 28 to felony bail jumping. Conley withheld sentencing and placed him on two years of probation with conditions.
