Wittenberg-Birnamwood 74, Manawa 14
It was no contest for Wittenberg-Birnamwood when the Chargers crushed Manawa 73-14 on Dec. 2.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood had a commanding 51-10 lead at halftime and continued dominating with a 22-4 second half.
“We came out with great pressure tonight, which led to a nice lead going into halftime,” coach Nick Mechelke said.
Rory Salvesen led the Chargers with 30 points. Melaina Granquist added another 16. Five other players also scored.
Menominee Nation 74, Shiocton 38
The Eagles won their conference opener and improved to 3-1 overall with a 74-38 win over Shiocton in Keshena.
Shawano 60, New London 52
Shawano stayed perfect at 3-0 in the early stages of the season, defeating New London 60-52 on the Hawks’ home court.
The win was the conference opener for both teams.
Crivitz 46, Suring 36
Crivitz scored the first basket and never trailed in its 46-36 win over Suring.
It was the first loss for the Eagles, which dropped to 2-1 overall.
Crivitz led 28-15 at the half. Suring won the second half 21-18 in the 10-point loss.
