Gillett won the close games and defeated the visiting Coleman Cougars 3-0 on Oct. 14.

Suring topped Lena 3-1 with scores of 25-8, 24-26, 25-12, 25-17.
Chloe Schroeder led the Eagles with 40 assists, three digs and an attack kill.
Aliya Cox collected 13 attack kills, a blocked kill, one dig and one assist.
Ellayna Skarban had a dozen attack kills and five digs.
Grace Christensen added five attack kills, three blocked kills, five digs and an assist.
Karissa Hischke recorded eight attack kills, a blocked kill and three digs, and Lexis Remic added eight attack kills and five digs.
Addison Frank contributed two assists, and Hailey Bo Pecanas had a pair of digs.
Remic scored five service aces. Schroeder, Cox and Aleena Broetzman each had two, and Frank had one.
Tigerton 3, White Lake 2
Tigerton traveled to White Lake for its final CWC North contest, needing a win to clinch the top spot in the league.
Five games, later, the Tigers prevailed and earned the conference title.
The set scores were 25-10, 24-26, 25-13, 17-25 and 15-4.
“This is our first volleyball conference championship in the 11 years I have been head coach,” coach Holly Meverden said. “It feels really good to be able to lead these girls and watch them grow and be successful in the game.”
Presley Stewart Rolfs led Tigerton with 12 kills, followed by Aaliyah Lederhaus and Danika Tiller with five each; Lillian Welch with four; Mya Smith with three and Renata Nordwig with two.
Tiller had 21 assists, and Lederhaus contributed six.
Lederhaus led with 18 digs, while Nordwig added 14, Jaelyn Brady had 13, Welch had 10, and Tiller collected nine.
Stewart-Rolfs and Smith each had one block kill.
Brady tallied 34 service points with 15 aces, and Nordwig had 12 service points with one ace. Lederhaus had 11 service points with two aces, and Stewart-Rolfs had seven service points with two aces.
Tigerton is 8-2 in CWC action and 12-6 overall.
