Third grade students at Sacred Heart Catholic School transformed into a team of budding scientists as they conducted hands-on experiments exploring mixtures and solutions.
Students eagerly rolled up their sleeves to investigate how different substances interact. Activities included combining sugar and water, mixing sand and salt, and even testing the magnetism of a solution. Through these experiments, students discovered the difference between materials that dissolve and those that remain separate.
The classroom was filled with energy, curiosity and collaboration as students worked together to observe, question and learn.
“It’s amazing to see science come alive when students get to experiment, observe and learn by doing,” said teacher Jinky Tadeo.
This engaging lesson is part of Sacred Heart Catholic School’s commitment to fostering inquiry-based learning and encouraging students to think critically about the world around them.
