The 2025-26 boys basketball season kicked off Nov. 25, and Oconto Falls opened its season with a 76-65 win over Menominee Nation.
Senior Brady Bursa led the Panthers with 25 points. Senior Jameson Beaman added 22, and junior J.J. Pytleski chipped in another 16.
Pytleski led his teammates with seven rebounds. Bursa and freshman Teagan Tate each had five assists, and Bursa also had four steals.
Lena 62, Bowler 59
The Wildcats opened the new campaign with a 62-59 come-from-behind win over Bowler.
Lena scored the first basket of the game but then went silent as Bowler ran off an 18-2 spree.
The Wildcats clawed their way back to take a 34-32 lead at halftime.
Lena scored the first 10 points in the second half before Bowler surged back to tie the game at 56-56 down the stretch. Bowler pulled ahead 59-58, before Lena connected on the final two baskets to earn the win.
