Barbara J. Christensen, 86, of Bear Creek, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in New London. Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Clintonville.

Howard V. Elliott II, 94, Oconto Falls, died early Tuesday morning, June 27, 2023, at Serenity Gardens in Gillett. He was born Dec. 15, 1928, in the town his great-great grandparents founded, John and Almira Volk, to Howard P. and Alma (Rifenberg) Elliott Sr. A lifelong resident, Howard attended Oconto Falls Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1947. On July 28, 1951, he married Barbara Scheffel at Oconto Falls United Methodist Church.

Gregory A. Cotter, 84, of the Town of Larrabee, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, at home. Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Clintonville.

Ronald L. Grunewald, 69, of the Town of Pella, Shawano County, passed away at his home on Thursday evening, June 29, 2023. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion is assisting the family.

Jay Alan Thiel, 69, of Waupun, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center on June 28, 2023. Jay was born in Shawano on June 11, 1954 to Jack and Janet (Schwartz) Thiel. He grew up in Markesan and graduated from Markesan High School in 1972. Jay worked at Alto (Saputo) Cheese Factory for 46 years. He started in the Cheese Plant for 16 years and retired as a Material Handler in the Whey Department.

Xenia Brehmer, 88, Oconto Falls, went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 26, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay. She was born March 21, 1935, in Richmond, Virginia, to Miles and Mary Louise (Ramos) Sparkman Sr. On Dec. 30, 1954, she married Roland (Red) Brehmer Sr. in Richmond.
