Shawano woman still missing after two weeks

It has been two weeks since anyone has been able to confirm the whereabouts of Heather Szekeres, 32, of Shawano. She was at the Final Lap Sports Bar and Grill in downtown Shawano at 11 p.m.

Once again a first-time winner graced the Shawano Speedway winners circle. Shawano golfer 7th at qualifier
Shawano golfer Kaden Gorman missed the alternate cut by one stroke and the qualifying cut by two strokes for an American Junior Golf Association tourney next week in Wisconsin. The MacArthur Towel and Sports Future Legends tournament will be held next week at The Legend of Brandybrook in Wales. Eugene D. Klosterman
Eugene Dale Klosterman, 81, of Bowler, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Shawano. Born on Dec. 21, 1931, in the town of Hartland, he was the son of the late Herman and Dora (Kroening) Klosterman. Eugene grew up in the Bonduel area. On June 11, 1955, he was united in marriage to Violet Gagnow in Navarino. After marriage the couple farmed the family farm in the town of Hartland.
June E. Pederson
June E. Pederson, 83, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at a local nursing home. Born on March 17, 1930, in Caroline, she was the daughter of the late August and Frieda (Ebert) Grosskopf. On Oct. 9, 1948, she was united in marriage to Walter Pederson in Shawano. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2012. June was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in raising her children.
Ronald E. Kauffmann
Ronald E. Kauffmann, 76, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, July 7, 2013, at his home in Shawano. Ron was born Sept. 19, 1937, in Tigerton, a son of the late Earl and Wilma (Reinert) Kauffmann. He grew up in Tigerton and was a graduate of Tigerton High School. Following school, Ron enlisted in the United States Army on Aug. 22, 1958. Ron served his country for over seven years in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1964.
County awaits state funding information
Local officials are about to dive into planning Shawano County’s 2014 budget, but they are doing it blindfolded. The county has not received information on how much funding it will receive in 2014 from the state, according to Administrative Coordinator Tom Madsen. Much of the social services and community programs budgets, especially in children and adult services, depend on state dollars.
Roger C. Raguse
Roger C. Raguse, 76, of Troy, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at his residence. He was born on March 5, 1937, in Shawano to the late Emil and Esther (Priem) Raguse. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen (Boland) Raguse, on Nov. 3, 2012.
Agnes Onesti
Agnes Onesti, 92, Wittenberg, died Monday, July 8, 2013, surrounded by her family at her home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services, Wausau. She was born May 14, 1921, in the town of Rosendale, Fond du Lac County, the daughter of the late Frederick and Clara (Wegner) Pietz. On Dec. 30, 1939, Agnes was united in marriage to William “Bill” Onesti at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood.

Rita M. Fehrman, 82, of Clintonville, formerly of Embarrass, passed away Monday morning, July 8, 2013, at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements.
