Shawano’s boys track and field team placed first with 209 points at Wausau West.
Gresham/Bowler finished sixth among the 10 teams with 32 points, and Menominee Nation was seventh with 27 points.
Shawano’s Elijah Senft won the 55-meter dash in 6.87 seconds. He was followed by teammates Aiden Rasmussen in second and Bryce Lammers in third.
In the 1,600-meter run, Menominee Nation’s Bryant Waupoose won in 5:18.46, while Shawano’s Aloysius Frachette placed second.
Shawano’s Kobe Bistoff won the 3,200-meter run in 11:56.05, with teammate Beckett Hendricks in second and Gresham/Bowler’s Breckin Gleason in third.
The Shawano foursome of Joseph Kleinschmidt, Ryder Herm, Andre Peterson and Brayden Fish won the 4x400-meter relay in 4:20.30. Another Shawano team of Ryan Schwitzer, Joshua Lesperance, Nolan Kleinschmidt and Maverick Theis placed fifth, with sixth place going to Gresham/Bowler’s Derec Guthrie, Brandon Jeske, Leif Steffen and Mason Martin.
The shot put was won by Shawano’s Joseph Doperalski with a throw of 44 feet 6 inches. Shawano’s Chase Katchenago was third and Andrew Hanssen was fifth.
Schwitzer won the pole vault at 11-6.
Rasmussen won the long jump at 19-00.50, followed by Lammers in second and teammate Heriberto Rubio in third.
Shawano’s Sosaeh Tepiew was second in the 200-meter dash, with teammate Cyprien Barbier in third and Menominee Nation’s Mequonaseah Oshkosh in fifth.
In the 400-meter run, Menominee Nation’s Edmund Tucker placed fourth, and Fish was fifth.
Angel Banega Landero, of the Hawks, was second in the 800-meter run.
Placing fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 55-meter hurdles were Shawano’s James Lange, Shawano’s Kaiden McCloy and Gresham/Bowler’s Brett Schreiber.
McCloy was third and Lange was third in the 200-meter hurdles.
Oshkosh placed second in the high jump, followed by Shawano’s Micah Welander in third and Nolan Kleinschmidt in sixth.
In the triple jump, Shawano’s Andre Peterson was third and Lange was fourth, followed by Steffen in fifth.
As for the girls, Shawano was third with 100 points, followed by Gresham/Bowler in fifth with 43 and Menominee Nation in seventh with 19.
Shawano’s Mikelah Powers won the 400-meter dash in 1:09.10. Gresham/Bowler’s Addison Fischer placed third, and her teammate, Lorelei Lehouilier was fifth.
Gracie Curtin, of Shawano, won the 200-meter hurdles in 35.81. Shawano’s Ava Reinke was fourth, and Gresham/Bowler’s Sha’Rae Kilgore was fifth.
Gresham/Bowler’s Emily Jensen won the shot put at 35-00.50. Menominee Nation’s Shia Madosh placed fourth.
Shawano’s Maci Beyer won the high jump at 5-2, and Lehouilier was sixth.
Fischer was fourth in the 200-meter dash, and Shawano’s Zoe Sipple finished fifth.
Fischer placed fifth in the 55-meter dash, and Shawano’s Ainsley Schmidt placed sixth.
Jillian Guenther, of Shawano, finished third in the 800-meter run.
In the 4x400-meter relay, Shawano’s team of Curtin, Izabella Tupper, Sipple and Anessa Bantle finished second.
Macey Nelson, of Shawano, finished third in the pole vault.
Curtin was fourth in the long jump, and Menominee Nation’s Elaine Skenador was fifth.
In the triple jump, Nelson was fourth, followed by Skenador in fifth and Schmidt in sixth.
Marshfield Tiger Girls Invite
March 26
Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Harper Rogowski and Harper Krull each earned a second=place finish at events in Marshfield.
Rogowski placed second in the 440-yard dash. She was also fifth in the 220-yard dash, seventh in the 880-yard run and seventh in the triple jump.
Krull finished second in the 60-meter hurdles. She also placed sixth in the 1-mile run, eighth in the long jump and 12th in the 880-yard run.
Eleanor Tassler placed sixth in the 60-yard dash, seventh in the long jump, ninth in the 440-yard dash and 30th in the shot put.
