Wittenberg-Birnamwood 55, Green Bay Preble 40
Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s girls basketball team got off to a slow start but battled back to defeat Green Bay Preble 55-40.
The Chargers trailed 21-19 at the half but outscored the Hornets 36-19 in the second half.
“We got off to a slow start tonight. We just couldn’t get anything to fall in the first half,” coach Nick Mechelke said. “We just kept chipping away at Treble’s first half lead. We talked through some concepts at the half and came out hot. We pushed our lead to 20 near the end of the half and finished it off.”
The Chargers improved to 3-0, while the Hornets dropped to 1-1.
Bonduel 36, Algoma 30
The Bears improved to 2-1 overall with a 36-30 win over the Algoma. The Wolves fell to 0-2.
Pulaski 51, Menasha 40
The Red Raiders evened their record at 2-2 with a 51-40 win at Menasha. The BlueJays fell to 1-1.
