Gillett, Pulaski runners win at cross country meets

Bailey Hendricks, of Shawano, placed third in Division 2 among runners at the Shawano Hawk Invitational on Sept. 13. She had a time of 20:37.5.

Shawano runners were second, and Oconto Falls was third.

Tela Hopfensperger finished fifth in 20:51.0, and Maci Beyer was 10th din 21:49.5.

Also running for the Hawks were Anabelle Schroeder in 19th, Emma Nelson was 26th, Evelyn Kuehl was 33rd, Jai Bisterfeldt was 34th, Mikelah Powers placed 36th, Arica Preston was 45th, Teagan Powers was 52nd, Samantha Otradavec was 53rd, Jadyn Brown placed 55th, Lauren Harkey was 62nd, and Kylie Bort was 77th.

Oconto Falls’ Emma Meissner placed fourth in 20:44.1. Lily Meissner was ninth in 21:46.9.

Sydney Braund placed 23rd, Mackenzie Lotto was 24th, Alexandria Braund placed 31st, Ava Holtz was 47th, Evelyn Savage placed 74th, Lily Caelwaerts was 78th, and Faith Thomas was 79th.

Urijah Reevis, of Menominee Nation, placed 48th in 25:56.4.

Keira Nacotee placed 56th, and Kaylee Nacotee was 65th.

In Division 3, Bonduel’s Mariah Wondra finished in second in 18:40.9. Teammate Lillian Burrack was eighth in 21:24.8. Cierra Schnell was 18th in 24:04.1.

Payten Bierhals placed 23rd, Kemper Frome was 31st, and Katie O’Brien finished 44th.

Gillett was led by Hope Soper, who placed 12th in 21:50.2. She was followed by Amanda Pate, who placed 13th in 21:50.8.

Also, Halle Wendorff placed 24th, Sophie Limberg was 35th, Sharlese Stage was 40th, and Maggie Kaczmarek was 43rd.

Suring’s Allyson Seibert finished 19th in 24:09.8.

Also competing were Natalie Siebert in 22nd place and Ginger Gerndt in 28th.

Violet Buchholz, of Wolf River Lutheran in Shawano, finished the course in 26th place in 25:23.8.

Marion’s Kennedy Zuniga placed 36th in 26:26.1. Ava Engle was 49th.

In the boys race in Division 2, Menominee Nation’s Bryant Waupoose II led the area runners in ninth place in 17:32.1.

Teammate Cashius Reevis placed 74th, and Christopher Waubanascum was 83rd.

Josiah Kuehl led the Hawks in 13th place in 18:09.6. Aloysius Frechette was 15th in 18:27.6, and Teagan Harkey was 18th in 18:57.7. Beckett Hendricks was 26th, James Lange was 28th, and Quinten Harkey was 29th.

Angel Vanega Lande placed 48th, Brayden Fish was 50th, and Cappaert Caiden placed 73rd.

Oconto Falls was paced by Isaiah Holtz, who placed 14th in 18:27.5.

Mason Lotto finished 21st, followed by Landon Timm in 22nd and Ethan Zielinski in 23rd.

Sage Mendolla placed 44th, Cason Weenig was 52nd, Lucas Vanhulle was 53rd, Braxton Rajkovich was 59th, Derek Johnson was 65th, and Carson Laluzerne was 68th.

Damien Sauerhage placed 75th, and Max Pileski was 77th.

For Division 3 male runners, Gillett’s Brayden Wendorff won first place in 17:47.0.

Teammate Jeremiah Lennon placed 37th.

Bonduel placed six runners in the top 10.

They were Gage Anderson, second, 18:38.1; Griffin Uelmen, third, 18:46.3; Oliver Chitwood, fourth, 18:54.2; Joah Dworniczak, sixth, 19:16.7; Garrett Anderson, seventh, 20:09.4; and Jack Weier, ninth, 20:56.0.

Carter Johnson finished in 11th place, and Dylan Keller was 12th. Kaiden Thornborrow placed 15th, Griffin Richter was 17th, Garrett Klosterman placed 20th, and Sawyer Rank was 28th.

Marion’s Payton Prickette placed 10th in 21:15.3.

Tristan Herro was 14th, and Brayden Zietlow was 33rd.

Suring’s Charles Richard was 13th in 22:00.4.

Blake Degrave was 25th, and Riley Thomas was 26th. Liam Matelski placed 29th, Garrett School was 32nd and Skylar Bristol was 38th.

Mason Martin, of Gresham/Bowler, was 27th in 23:40.4. Breckin Gleason placed 31st, Derec Guthrie was 36th, and Adam Liethen was 39th.

Mark Buchholz, of Wolf River Lutheran in Shawano, placed 41st in 34:38.9.

Roncalli Schmitt/Schneider Cross Country Invitational

Pulaski’s Maggie Gerth won first place in 19:11.87 running in Manitowoc.

Teammates Emerson Fabry placed third, and Addie Bruckert placed sixth.

Also running were Cameran Reiss, Ellie Murphy and Estella Vieaux.

For the boys, Arden Gillen placed second in 17:21.5.

Parker Marshall placed third, followed by Mitchell Pilon in sixth.

Also competing for the Red Raiders were Dayne Groth, Ben Augustine, Thomas Murphy, Carter Ryskoski and Nolan Greene.
