Evangeline “Eva” Sippel, 83, of the Town of Washington, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at Care Partners of Clintonville.
Eva was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Laredo, Texas, daughter to the late Fidel and Ramona (Gutierrez) Guardjo. Eva grew up in Laredo and moved to Wisconsin after marrying John Sippel Sr. After being blessed with six children, Eva started working at Tecumseh Products in Sheboygan Falls. She worked there for over 30 years operating a die-cast machine. After retirement, they moved to Shawano on Shawano Lake.
Eva enjoyed reading and sitting on her porch watching the activity on the lake. She spent a lot of time cooking, especially baking. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas as she would bake batch after batch of Christmas cookies for her family and friends.
Eva is survived by her husband, John; children, John Charles Sippel Jr., of Cecil, Dorcas Ann (Mark) Grosnick, of Watertown, Jeffrey Steven Sippel, of Sheboygan, Paul Daniel Sippel, of Sheboygan Falls, and Patricia Ann (Patrick) Abney, of Menasha; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Amelia (Eugene) Kauffman, Samuel (Maria) Guajardo, Deborah (Valentin) Cantu, Priscilla (Fred) Villarreal, Abraham (Maria) Guajardo, Elias Guajardo and Adan (Mary) Guajardo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Deborah Ann Sippel; and her siblings, Daniel Guajardo, Esther (Terry) Wyre and Fidel (Maria) Guajardo Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1-3 p.m. followed by committal and urn placement, on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., Kohler.
The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory in Clintonville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
