Ejnik’s four hits helps Gresham top Menominee

East/West Division

Aug. 3

Gresham 16, Menominee 6 (7 inn.)

Joe Ejnik’s game-high four hits helped the Gophers top the Indians.

Winning pitcher Trayvon Granquist, Cody Riemer, Crew Weisnicht and Chase Quinny had two hits each for Gresham.

Pete Bruette led Menominee with two hits and Ray LeMieux took the loss.

Clintonville 8, Shawano 0

Turker Doornink’s three-run home run helped the A’s defeat the Lakers.

Zach Johnson, Aaron Morse and Brock Smejkal added two hits for Clintonville and winning pitcher Jaden Doornink held the Lakers to four hits and no runs over six innings.

Akron Verhein and Chris Krause led Shawano at the plate with two hits each and Al Peters took the loss.

Neopit 13, Marion 7

Walker Miller picked up the win on the mound and also led the Chiefs with two hits.

Blake Weatherwax led Marion with four hits, and Bobby Brunker and Jonathon Scherschel added two each. Jared Sonnenberg took the loss.

Tilleda 15, Crandon 4

Tilleda 6, Crandon 2 (6 inn.)

Winning pitcher Jay Brei led Tilleda with three hits and five RBIs in the first game of a doubleheader with the Kentucks.

Zach Fehrman, Joel Brei and Hunter Ellenbecker added two hits for the Woodchucks.

Curtis Paschen had two hits to lead Crandon, and Cole Kupfer took the loss.

Fehrman struck out 11 batters while picking up the win in the second game.

He also led the Woodchucks with three hits, while Jay Brei added two.

Cole Shepard and Matthew Janke had two hits to lead Crandon, and Mark Seils took the loss.

Leopolis 11, Tigerton 1 (7 inn.)

Leopolis handed the Tigers a defeat in a game that ended after seven innings.

Little Falls 9, Caroline 1

The Loggers wrapped up an undefeated regular season in division play with a win over the Cougars.

Aug. 2

Leopolis 6, Crandon 3

Andrew Kristoff picked up the win on the mound and had three hits for Leopolis in a win over the Kentucks.

Dane Hodkiewicz also had three hits for the Bulldogs.

Crandon’s Trent Palubucki took the loss for Crandon, but also led the Kentucks with four hits. Tyler Spring and Chris McCorkle also had two hits for Crandon.

Aug. 1

Gresham 7, Clintonville 5

The Gophers defeated the A’s in a rescheduled game.

Winning pitcher Paul Murphy struck out nine batters over seven innings, and Jason Schmeider took the loss for Clintonville.

Luke Pecore, Jerzy Brocker and Chase Quinney each had two hits for the Gophers.

Schneider led the A’s at the plate with three hits, including a three-run home run. Austin Schneider added two hits.

North Division

Aug. 3

Elderon 9, Wittenberg 0

The Whiskey Jacks held the Pilots to two hits in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Isaac Williams led Elderon with two hits, including a home run.

Kaleb Schulist picked up the win on the mound, and Nathan Waupakenay took the loss.

Aug. 1

Birnamwood 5, Hatley 2

Logan Thiex improved to 5-0 on the season with a win on the mound and had two of the Kings’ nine hits.

Chase Reinke led Birnamwood with three hits, and Mason Meverden added two.

Nick Cotter took the loss for the Braves.

Braxton Olson and Josh Matushak led Hatley with two hits, and Kodie Kocher added a home run.

Eland 17, Aniwa 0 (7 inn.)

Jacob Ligenza and Nick Barnes led Eland with three hits in a shutout win over the Orioles.

Peyton Flees, Charlie Woida, Lucas Mandich, Joe Buss and Shane Larson added two hits for the Engineers.

Tyler Nelson picked up the win on the mound, and Denton Mortenson took the loss.

Gavin Steppert, Brady Marten, Kody Szews and Cory Fraaza had hits for Aniwa.

South-Central Division

Aug. 3

Weymont 6, New London 2 (12 inn.)

Luke Schwenn pitched all 12 innings for the White Bass to get the win on the mound while striking out 10 batters.

Brock Wilde and Hayden Timm led Weymont with three and two hits, respectively, in a game played in Scandinavia during the Scandinavia Corn Roast.

Noah Hanson had two hits to lead New London at the plate.

Ethan Herzfeldt took the loss for the Irish.

Scandinavia 11, Plover 9

Caleb Bembenek led Scandinavia with four hits and three RBIs, while Matt Glodowski and Logan Moe added three hits and Braden Hunkins hit a two-run home run.

Kevin Jastromski led Plover with three hits.

Cyle Zblewski picked up the win and Kaden Thauer took the loss.

July 30

Plover 1, Scandinavia 0

Plover held the Vikings scoreless in a rescheduled game, as Kaden Thauer drove in the game’s only run with a single in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Chase Geyer and Josh Marcione led Plover with two hits and Josh Opiola picked up the win on the mound, and Cyle Zblewski took the loss.

R.J. Rosenthal led the Vikings with two hits.
