Running back Chris Brooks signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Brooks made the Dolphins final roster.
He was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 20, 2023, then activated on Dec. 19.
Brooks was released by the Dolphins on Sept. 2, with an injury settlement. He was signed by the Packers to the practice squad the next day and to the active roster Sept. 17.

What was getting the call like that you were coming to Green Bay?
I just got a call in my hotel. They said come in the facility. When I got here, that’s when they told me.
Similarities between offense here and Miami?
Yes, sir. Yes, sir. It is very similar.
Learning on the fly?
Really just constant studying. Going over reviewing notes. Making sure to be diligent in the details.
What’s your playing style?
Relentless effort, doing what I can to be a team player and help this team the best that I can.
Thoughts on Green Bay?
I love this team. I love the environment. As soon as I get here, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, you can immediately feel the family environment and the town.
Talked to Packers at all in 2023 during the predraft process?
I don’t think so.
Thought process coming here?
My thought process was whatever I do, attack it to the best of my ability whether it’d be practice squad, active. Just attack whatever I’m given.
How did you make the team in Miami?
I think the key is being decisive, taking coaching and being able to learn and grow every single day.
More on your run style?
You know, I’d like to think I run hard.
Running back room, what are they like?
These guys are great. These guys are great. From top down, this running back is really talented.
Special teams?
Yes, sir, they do. Special teams is in my background with Miami as well. I envision being a special teams player to the best of my ability.
Did you have options after you got injury settled?
Honestly, I’m not sure. I think my agent has that information. But honestly, I just told my agent, whatever opps come my way, let me know and this opportunity came, and I took it.
Did you See 53-man opportunity here?
Honestly, I was gonna take what I was given and control what I could control as soon as I got here. That was my work ethic. As soon as I got here, I said: “I’m going to go 100% each rep.”
You didn’t get many carries last year but you broke tackles?
I think the key to making that happen, I would say, is being decisive. I’d like to say picking the knees up and running hard.
Difficult setbacks?
It was a moment of adversity for me. But I definitely saw that as an opportunity to grow as a player, as a man, and lean on my faith and the Lord to trust in my ability.
Adjusting to Green Bay?
It’s been great. It’s been a smooth adjustment. Everything’s been going very smooth.
Getting up to speed?
I think there’s a lot of carryover in the offenses, and being diligent in reviewing what I’m coached to do also helps a lot.
Know anyone on the team?
No. Honestly, I knew of a few guys but never really got to meet them personally.
