Cooper Campshure’s three hits helped lead the sixth-seeded Broncos to a road win over the third-seeded Panthers in the opening round of playoffs in the Dairyland Baseball League.
His hits included singles in the third, five and ninth innings.
Campshure’s RBI single gave Bonduel a 1-0 lead in the third inning.
Race Anvelink and Campshure each had three of Bonduel’s 12 hits, while Chase Reinke added two hits and a team-high three RBIs.
Winning pitcher Noah Weier added two hits. He gave up five hits and three runs over seven innings and Jack Reinke worked the final 1 2/3 innings to pick up the save.
Trevor Cornell had two hits to lead Hofa Park, and Robbie Schuettpelz drove in a pair of runs.
Pulaski 12, Cecil 2 (7 inn.)
The fourth-seeded Reds ended the season for the fifth-seeded Mudhens in a seven-inning game in Pulaski.
Jason Infusino had three of Pulaski’s 12 hits and also drove in a team-high three runs.
Cecil had runners in scoring position numerous times but came up empty. Noah Beilfuss accounted for both of the Mudhens’ runs with a home run in the sixth inning.
Beilfuss took the loss for Cecil after giving up nine hits and eight runs over 3 1/3 innings.
Waupaca 8, Navarino 0
Top-seeded Waupaca opened the postseason by shutting out No. 8 Navarino.
Winning pitcher Cam Seidl broke Keith Peterson’s team strikeout record during the game. He now has 1,207 strikeouts as a Lakeman.
Hortonville 5, Shawano 1
No. 2 seed Hortonville, the defending Dairyland grand champion, handed the seventh-seeded Lobos a season-ending loss.
