Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on Oct. 7, inviting students to reflect on the power of prayer and the loving guidance of the blessed virgin Mary.

Throughout the morning, students carried and shared their rosaries, which highlighted the significance of this treasured Catholic devotion. The feast serves as a special reminder of Mary’s role in leading the faithful closer to her son, Jesus Christ, through prayer and reflection.

The rosary encourages believers to meditate on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus while growing in faith, hope and love. At Sacred Heart, this tradition remains an important part of nurturing students’ spiritual growth and strengthening their relationship with Christ.

The celebration also reflects the church’s dedication of the month of October to the holy rosary, encouraging families and students to turn to Mary in prayer throughout the month. Students were reminded of the words attributed to Our Lady of Fatima: “Pray the rosary every day to obtain peace for the world.”
