Abrams Spotlight Productions Inc. will hold auditions Nov. 9 and Nov. 11 for its spring show, “Something Rotten!” to be presented March 4-7 and March 11-14, 2027.
This show, directed by Ali Carlson, calls for male and female cast members, ages 13 and up.
“Something Rotten!” is a musical about two brothers trying to make their mark in the theater world while competing with none other than William Shakespeare. It’s packed with comedy, music, dancing, romance, and plenty of theatrical chaos.
People can audition 6-8 p.m. on either date at the Nancy Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple St., Abrams. Those who audition should come prepared to sing one minute of a song from a musical. A bluetooth speaker will be provided or individuals can bring their own speaker or sing a capella.
The auditions will include a reading from the script and a short dance audition, so participants should wear shoes and clothing that’s appropriate for dancing.
If an in-person audition isn’t feasible, call 920-826-5852 or email theater.aspi@gmail.com to submit a video audition.
To save time, individuals are encouraged to complete the online audition paperwork prior to auditions. A link can be found under the Events/Auditions tab at www.abramstheater.com. The auditions tab also includes rehearsal information and character descriptions.
