The Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce has added a familiar face to its team, naming Sam Sperberg as its new events coordinator.

Sperberg officially began the role Oct. 12. She will oversee chamber events while also helping develop new ideas and opportunities throughout the year.

In addition to her work with young professionals, she has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters serving as a “Big,” holding a board seat and launching the Fun for Kids’ Sake fundraiser in Shawano County. Her dedication earned her the Northeast Wisconsin Volunteer of the Year Award.

She has volunteered on the Sacred Heart Trivia Committee for three years and supports Toys for Tots annually through saYPro. She graduated from Leadership Shawano County in 2024, where she now serves on the program’s steering committee.

Following her LSC experience, Sperberg helped launch Shawano’s Hometown Heroes initiative and continues to guide the project as part of its steering committee. She also contributes her time and expertise to the Shawano County Progress Summit committee and participates in 100 Women Who Care.

In 2017, she graduated from UW-Green Bay with a degree in business administration and management.
