Tim Renard has stepped down from the Shawano School Board after moving to another location outside the Shawano School District, and the district is seeking to fill the vacancy.
The district will be accepting applications from anyone interested who is a resident of Area III, which is the Town of Wescott and a portion of the Town of Washington that is a part of the Shawano School District, must be 18 years of age or older, and a U.S. citizen.
The appointment will be through the April 2027 spring election at which time the successor could be elected for the remainder of the term, which ends April 2029.
A declaration of interest must be filed with Lori Sherman, school board assistant, no later than 3:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Filing forms are available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. are at the district office, 1310 S. Union St., Shawano, The board may interview applicants. If the decision is made to interview, this will be in an open session during a school board meeting.
