State Sen. Eric Wimberger (R-Gillett) has been honored by the Wisconsin Counties Association with a WCA Outstanding Legislator Award for his work on behalf of county government during the 2025-26 Legislative Session.

“Sen. Wimberger has been a longtime leader on the important issues that impact the 2nd Senate District, as well as for all counties statewide,” said WCA President and CEO Mark D. O’Connell. “We are grateful for his efforts and dedication in the creation and advancement of sensible policies that will impact Wisconsin for not just our generation but for future generations to come.”

The WCA Outstanding Legislator Award is handed out biennially to a select group of legislators who have represented county interests in the legislature and in their districts.

These legislators have demonstrated leadership for counties on key issues, legislation and the state budget.

WCA represents the interests of county government on the state and federal levels and is in Madison. For information, visit www.wicounties.org.
