Community members who want to make a difference in the lives of local families are invited to join the planning committee for Empty Bowls, Caring Hearts 2026, a fundraising event benefiting Shawano Area Matthew 25.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at Shawano Community High School, 220 County Road B, Shawano, but organizers are seeking volunteers now to help make this community fundraiser a success.
Committee members are needed to assist with securing donations, gather raffle baskets and silent auction items, recruit volunteers and help promote the event throughout the area.
Whether someone has experience in fundraising, marketing, community outreach or simply wants to lend a hand, organizers welcome their involvement.
Empty Bowls, Caring Hearts is more than a fundraiser. The event helps support SAM25’s mission of providing hope, health and housing assistance to individuals and families facing poverty and homelessness in Shawano County. Funds raised help sustain programs that provide emergency shelter, access to healthcare, basic necessities, resource navigation and opportunities for people to build more stable and independent lives.
