Stacey Cicero is expected to begin her duties as Shawano County’s newest administrative coordinator June 29.
Her hiring was recommended by the executive committee June 17 and is expected to be approved by the full county board June 24.
“This just makes it official,” Julie Hasser told the executive committee. “She did accept the position.”
Hasser, director of human resources, served as interim administrative coordinator since the resignation of Jim Davel in October 2025.
“I want to thank you (Hasser) for filling in for us,” Supervisor Kathy Luebke said. “You did a nice job.”
For many years, Cicero was the executive director of Safe Haven in Shawano. In 2021, she resigned and took a job with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
Prior to officials seeking applicants for the position, they spent several months overhauling the job description. Department heads will no longer report to the coordinator, who will work more as a liaison among department heads, appointed officials, the county board and other elected officials.
