Walk, give back at April 25 cleanup event

Nancy Brown-Koeller assigns routes to volunteers as they begin a morning of cleaning up city parks and Mountain-Bay State Trail. The next cleanup day is April 25. Attendees are encouraged to bring gloves and trash grabbers if available, and to wear bright or reflective clothing for safety. Complimentary water and snacks will be available. (Contributed)

Shawano Pathways, in partnership with Friends of the Mountain-Bay State Trail, is inviting residents to take part in a spring walk and trail cleanup April 25.

Individuals, families and community organizations are all welcome to join.

Participants can check in between 10-10:30 a.m. at either the All Aboard Nutrition parking lot, 620 S. Main St., Shawano, or the Four Seasons Resort parking lot, 201 N. Airport Road, Shawano. From these locations, groups will head out along assigned routes — either a park-to-park loop within the city or stretches of the scenic Mountain-Bay State Trail — collecting litter along the way.

Attendees are encouraged to bring gloves and trash grabbers if available, and to wear bright or reflective clothing for safety. Complimentary water and snacks will be available.
