Susan R. Geneske

Susan Rose (Weyenberg) Geneske, 70, of Suring, passed away peacefully June 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 6, 1955, and raised in Little Chute, Sue was the cherished daughter of Melvin and Lucille Weyenberg. Throughout her life — as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend — she was known for her contagious laughter, gentle spirit and unwavering presence. She never missed a moment, whether it was a baseball game, a birthday or a small favor that made someone’s day a little easier. Sue found great joy in quilting, crafts, reading and gardening, pouring love and creativity into everything she touched. In 1976, she married Richard (“Jack” “Tiny”) Geneske, with whom she shared 49 years of unconditional love and partnership. She is survived by her husband and their children, Jennifer (Kirk Vanden Wyngaard) and James (Ryan Reilly), along with her beloved grandchildren, Alison, Jacob and Kaitlyn Vanden Wyngaard. Sue is also survived by her siblings, Dan, Sally, Gary and Mary, as well as many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and lifelong friends who will remember her warmth, kindness and the way she made everyone feel like family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, quiet strength and simple joys that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A service to honor and celebrate her life was held for immediate family on June 23, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a flower, snuggle under a quilt, or gather your family for a meal — simple acts of comfort and togetherness that Sue cherished most.
