Shirley Ann Treptow

Shirley Ann Treptow, 78, passed away Feb. 27, 2014, at Bay Area Medical Center. Born Aug. 1, 1935, in Marinette to the late Edwin and Gladys (Steer) Behrend, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1954. Shirley was employed as a secretary at the Prescott-Sterling Co. in Menominee, Mich., until her marriage to Kenneth Treptow on Dec. 1, 1956, at which time she farmed together with her husband for 50 years before retiring. Shirley was a poll worker for the town of Grover for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Coleman. Shirley enjoyed farming together with her husband, Ken, especially driving tractors, cooking, baking, gardening and listening to music and dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, on Sept. 2, 2007; her parents, Edwin and Gladys Behrend; her in-laws, Arthur and Minnie Treptow; sister-in-law, Carolyn Treptow; brother-in-law, Clarence Polzin, and sister-in-law, Bernita Polzin. She is survived by four sons, Gerald Treptow, of Green Bay, Thomas Treptow, of Peshtigo, Jon (Mae) Treptow, of Oconto, Tim (Tasha) Treptow, of Bonduel; four grandchildren she loved so much and enjoyed them visiting her, Noah, Nicholas, Emily and Kenneth Treptow; two sisters, Carroll (Donald) Treptow, of Wrightstown, and Janet (Darryl) Polzin, of Green Bay; brother-in-law, Roland Treptow; nieces and nephews; seven godchildren; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Coleman with the Rev. Greg Stahlecker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home is serving the family.
