Shawano golfers fifth at Denmark

The Shawano Community High School girls golf team finished fifth at a Bay Conference match Monday at Twin Oaks Golf Course in Denmark. The Hawks had a team score of 230. Denmark led all teams with a score of 193, followed by Marinette (202), Hortonville (216) and West De Pere (229). Courtney Baumann led Shawano with score of 48, tied for fifth overall with Hortonville’s Jolie Beckman. Shawano’s Julia Beck carded a 52, Megan Beck shot a 58, Cheyenne Knueppel had a 72 and Emily Smith scored a 79. Luxemburg-Casco’s Catarina Wurflova was the medalist with a 38.
