Bonduel boys defeat Manawa The Bonduel High School boys basketball team beat Manawa 67-48 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-8 game Friday in Bonduel. Zach Zernicke led Bonduel (9-9, 4-6 CWC8) with 16 points. Connor Rosin and Colton Dobratz each added 15. Gresham dominates Tri-County Getting 27 points from Christian Haffner, the Gresham High School boys basketball team beat Tri-County 71-47 Friday in Gresham. Killian Eggert and Scott Cerveny hit double-doubles for Gresham (12-5, 10-4 CWC-10). Eggert had 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Cerveny had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Aaron Klabunde had 16 points to lead Tri-County (2-15, 2-12 CWC-10). Chargers downed by Wausau West The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School girls basketball team lost to Wausau West 64-44 in a nonconference game Friday in Wausau. Micah Nier led the Chargers (14-3, 9-1 CWC-8) with 19 points. Mikayla Hartman added 11. Jasmin Samz scored 27 to lead Wausau West (10-7, 5-3 Wisconsin Valley). Bowler girls defeat Rosholt The Bowler High School girls basketball team beat Rosholt 50-35 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 game Friday in Rosholt. Ashlynn Brisk had 25 points, 10 rebounds, 11 steals and five assists for Bowler (7-7, 5-6 CWC-10). Taylor Matsche added 14 points, nine rebounds and five steals. Bowler boys beaten in OT The Bowler High School boys basketball team lost in overtime 57-53 to Rosholt Friday in Bowler. Cody Montez led Bowler (3-14, 1-12 CWC-10) with 20 points and six rebounds. Truckers lose to Freedom The Clintonville High School girls basketball team lost to Freedom in overtime 49-45 in a Eastern Valley Conference game Friday in Clintonville. Caitie Carpenter led Clintonville (2-13, 1-10 Eastern Valley) with 19 points. Kim Runge led Freedom (11-5, 7-4 Eastern Valley) with 25 points. Hawks lose to Denmark in wrestling The Shawano Community High School wrestling team lost a Bay Conference dual meet 72-12 to Denmark on Thursday in Denmark. Dalton Parson (120) had the Hawks’ lone win, pinning Spencer Ward in 5:08. Shawano’s only other points came on a forfeit. Shawano gave up seven forfeits and five pins. Other scores Boys basketball: Wittenberg-Birnamwood lost to Weyauwega-Fremont 48-31.
