Bonduel girls defeat Weyauwega-Fremont
The Bonduel High School girls basketball team beat Weyauwega-Fremont 56-50 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-8 game Tuesday in Weyauwega.
Jennifer Dowden led Bonduel (14-3, 8-2 CWC-8) with 23 points. Alexa Reinke had 11 points and six rebounds. Deanna Zernicke had 11 points and five assists.
Alyssa Good and Morgan Wilson led Weyauwega-Fremont (6-10, 2-8 CWC-8) with 16 points each.
Hawks get victory over Clintonville
The Shawano Community High School girls basketball team beat Clintonville 56-37 in a nonconference game Monday in Clintonville.
Courtney Vomastic led the Hawks (5-12, 4-8 Bay) with 13 points. Megan Klitzke and Lindsey Kurtz each added eight points. Klitzke also had seven rebounds and two steals.
Caitie Carpenter led Clintonville (2-14, 1-10 Eastern Valley) with 12 points. Autumn Voight had nine points, six rebounds and two steals.
Haffner’s 26 help Gresham top Eagles
The Gresham Community High School boys basketball team beat Menominee Indian 63-58 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 game Tuesday in Gresham.
Christian Haffner led Gresham (14-5, 10-4 CWC-10) with 26 points. He also had seven assists. Scott Cerveny had 11 points and eight assists. Killian Eggert had 12 points.
Dustin Waupoose scored 22 and Michael Pecore scored 14 for Menominee Indian (9-10, 7-8 CWC-10).
Bowler boys top Marion by 1 point
The Bowler High School boys basketball team edged Marion 62-61 in a CWC-10 game Tuesday in Bowler.
Cody Montez led the Panthers (4-14, 2-12 CWC-10) with 24 points. Chase Nueske added 14. Thomas Kazik had 12 rebounds.
Aaron Hoffman led Marion (5-13, 5-9 CWC-10) with 27 points.
Bears suffer loss at home
The Bonduel High School boys basketball team lost to Weyauwega-Fremont 58-56 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-8 game Tuesday in Bonduel.
Zach Zernicke led the Bears (9-10, 4-7 CWC-8) with 18 points. Connor Rosin added 15 and Hunter VanderLinden had 14.
Lincoln Van Cuick scored 21 points to lead Weyauwega-Fremont (7-12, 5-6 CWC-8).
Chargers struggle against Shiocton
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School boys basketball team fell behind 21-0 in the first quarter and went on to lose to Shiocton 67-39 Tuesday in Wittenberg.
Nick Kapitz led the Chargers (6-12, 2-9 CWC-8) with 14 points.
Gage Kamp led Shiocton (13-5, 9-2 CWC-8) with 18 points.
Truckers stall against Freedom
The Clintonville High School boys basketball team lost to Freedom 52-41 in a Eastern Valley game Tuesday in Freedom.
Andy Schmidt and Emmett Battenberg led Clintonville (8-10, 4-9 Eastern Valley) with nine points each.
Collin Hofacker had 17 points to lead Freedom (14-5, 9-5 Eastern Valley).
Witt-Birn girls edge Shiocton
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School girls basketball team beat Shiocton 29-28 in a defensive game Tuesday in Shiocton.
Mikayla Hartman led the Chargers (15-3, 10-1 CWC-8) with 10 points.
Jonalee Elliott and Peyton Moder led Shiocton (11-6, 6-5 CWC-8) with six points apiece.
Eagles boys defeat Marion
Four players scored in double figures as the Menominee Indian High School boys basketball team beat Marion 66-63 Monday in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 game in Keshena.
Michael Pecore led Menominee Indian (9-10, 7-8 CWC-10) with 20 points. Ron Frechette had 16. Dallas Madosh and Dustin Waupoose each added 10.
Aaron Hoffman led Marion (5-13, 5-9 CWC-10) with 28 points.
