Hawks golfers finish fifth
The Shawano Community High School girls golf team came in fifth at a Bay Conference match Tuesday at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Seymour.
Marinette (181) took first, followed by Denmark (199), Hortonville (205), West De Pere (209) and Shawano (216).
Megan Beck led the Hawks with a 49, tying four other players for seventh overall. Courtney Baumann and Julie Beck both shot a 53 for Shawano, while Emily Smith came in at 61. Cheyenne Knueppel shot a 64.
Marinette’s Abby Dufrane was the medalist with a 40.
Bonduel seventh at Waupaca
The Bonduel High School girls golf team placed seventh at an Eastern Valley Conference match Tuesday at Waupaca Country Club.
Taylor Diemel’s 52 led the Bears (234). Sam Inman shot a 59, Elizabeth Schaal 60, Danielle Lautenbach a 63 and Samantha Schaal 66.
Appleton Xavier won the match with a 170, led by medalist Mikala Smith’s 37.
Bears sixth at Wrightstown
Bonduel finished sixth at a Eastern Valley Conference girls golf match Monday at Hilly Haven Golf Course in Wrightstown.
Fox Valley Lutheran (183) finished first.
Danielle Lautenbach’s 54 led the Bears (242). Taylor Diemel carded a 61, Elizabeth Schaal 62, Sam Inman 65 and Samantha Schaal 71.
Appleton Xavier’s Mikala Smith and Fox Valley Lutheran’s Kayla Priebe tied for medalist honors with a 41.
