• Jenny L. Tennant, 46, Gillett, pleaded no contest Aug. 19 to felony bail jumping, escape from criminal arrest, misappropriating ID information to avoid penalty, and misdemeanor counts of possession of an illegally obtained prescription and prostitution. Judge Michael Judge sentenced her Aug. 26 to three years in prison followed by three years of extended supervision with conditions.
• John F. Benser, 61, Gillett, pleaded no contest Aug. 27 to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (seventh, eighth or ninth offense) and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony. Judge sentenced him to five years in prison followed by five years of extended supervision with conditions including a 36-month revocation of his driver’s license.
• Ryan K. Bartlett, 42, Oconto, pleaded no contest misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and unlawful phone use to threaten harm. A related felony charge was dismissed in a plea agreement. Judge levied fines and court costs totalling $3,466.
• A jury found Joey J. Vandewettering, 63, Cecil, guilty April 17 of first-degree sexual assault, false imprisonment, strangulation and suffocation, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor charges of battery, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. Judge Jay Conley sentenced him Aug. 29 to 25 years in state prison followed by 20 years of extended supervision with conditions.
• Zachary James Lipp, 33, Gillett, pleaded no contest July 7 to burglary to a building or dwelling, taking and drive a vehicle without consent, and misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property and theft of movable property. Judge sentenced him Aug. 28 to two years and six months in prison followed by two years of extended supervision with conditions.
• Thomas A. Luisier, 65, Oconto Falls, was charged Aug. 25 with possession of child pornography. Conley set a $10,000 cash bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Sept. 10.
• Tyler J. Wolf, 36, Oconto, was charged Aug. 25 with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense) and a misdemeanor count of operating while revoked. Judge set a $2,500 cash bond and adjourned his initial appearance until Sept. 11.
• Isaias R. Cupino, 65, Oconto Falls, was charged Aug. 29 with first-degree child sexual assault, child sexual exploitation, and possession of child pornography. Conley set a $250,000 cash bond and adjourned his initial appearance until Sept. 11.
