Joseph Lyle Zilkoske, 44, of Gillett, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Joe was born on Aug. 29, 1975, in Oconto Falls to Glen and Connie (Brazeau) Zilkoske. Joe enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Africa. He attended Northwestern Technical College of Marinette and graduated with a degree in welding. Joe was a former member of the Underhill Fire Department and Gillett EMS. He worked for Great Lakes Trailers in Suring and most recently Gillett Cement Company. Joe enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, trapping and riding his motorcycle.
Joe is survived by his children, Josh Zilkoske, of Gillett, Ashleigh Zilkoske and Courtney Zilkoske, both of Suring; his parents; and his sister, Susan (Bob) Seide, of Gillett. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Lila Zilkoske; his maternal grandparents, Lyle and Lou Brazeau; and his fiancée, Kimberly Gandt.
A funeral service for Joe will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Rev. Michael Paholke officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
