Wilbur August-Otto Dehn, 81, of Shawano, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013. Born on Sept. 1, 1932, in the town of Hartland, he was the son of the late Charles and Luella (Moesch) Dehn.
Wilbur lived most of his life in the Bonduel area, where he enjoyed farm life. On May 22, 1965, he was united in marriage to Darlene Theilig. The couple lived near Bonduel until moving to Shawano 20 years ago. Wilbur was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel, where he was a former member of the men’s club, was on the cemetery association and an usher. He was also a former member of the Bonduel Conservation Club. In his free time, Wilbur enjoyed bowling and playing cards; his favorite games being canasta, smear and sheepshead.
Wilbur is survived by his wife of 48 years, Darlene; his daughter, Mary (Rick) Rodriguez, of Green Bay; three grandchildren, Kellen, MaKenzie and Connor Rodriguez; and a great-grandson, Blake August Christman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
