Lucille P. DeZorzi, 91, of Shawano, formerly of Caspian, Mich., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at a local nursing home. Born on Feb. 9, 1922, in Green Bay, she was the daughter of the late Ottavio and Catrina (Puller) Albisini.
On Sept. 26, 1942, she was united in marriage to Joseph DeZorzi in Caspian. Lucille was a great cook and loved preparing delicious meals for her family. She also found enjoyment listening to the music of her husband’s band and years later her son’s band. She loved nothing more than to spend a night out on the town dancing and bar hopping as well as going for motorcycle rides with her son. Lucille was a member of the St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Caspian.
Lucille is survived by her son, Louis Otto (Naomi) DeZorzi, of Iron River, Mich.; her daughter, Kathy Jo (Mark) Mailahn, of Shawano; six grandchildren, Ronnie (Betty) DeZorzi of Michigan, Jamie (Kim) DeZorzi, of Florida, Courtney DeZorzi, of Connecticut, Heather Devey, of Shawano, Seth (Jenny) Mailahn, of Shawano, McKaslyn (Bryce) Szymanski, of Shawano, Mallory Jo (John) Stang, of Missouri; and five great-grandchildren, Christian Joseph, Brogahn, Addison Lucille, Charles Ottavio and Jace, and a sixth great-grandchild on the way.
Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph, on Dec. 31, 1997, and her parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Iron River, Mich.
