Deborah C. White, 65, of Shawano, formerly of Keshena, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born on Nov. 4, 1948, in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Adell (Hoeffs) Fredenberg.
Deborah was raised in the Keshena and Shawano areas. After graduating from high school, she furthered her education with a nursing degree. Deborah worked at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Green Bay and later for the Menominee Indian Tribe as an AODA counselor until retiring in 2002. In retirement, Deborah continued to work for Goodwill Industries in Shawano. When not at work, she enjoyed fishing, reading and playing bingo. Deborah was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena.
Deborah is survived by two sons, Trenton (Michelle) Miller, of Green Bay, and David Scott Miller, of Green Bay; two grandchildren, Tristan and Myah; three siblings, Rebecca (Donald) Bonnin, of Cecil, Guy (Debbie Anderson) Fredenberg, of Shawano, Terri (John) Holzman, of Ripon; and several nieces and nephews.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Cheryl Bruenig, Ralph “Smokey” Fredenberg, Renee Boettcher, Garwin Fredenberg; a niece, Roberta “Pepsi” Wilber; and a nephew, Robert Corn Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David McElroy, O Praem, officiating. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano in the spring. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
