Linda Amy Dickenson, 47, of Green Bay, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in Green Bay. Born on Sept. 9, 1966, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Shirley (Elm) Dickenson.
After graduating from high school, Linda worked for the Just 4 Kids Day Care in Green Bay. She loved the kids there and gave each one a nickname. Linda was also a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered as the one who could always make you laugh.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Boyd, of Green Bay; two sons, Kenneth J. Boyd and Warren J. Boyd, both of Green Bay; and eight grandchildren, Savannah, Max, Cali Rose, Achilles, Deziray, Taylor, Deliah and Donovan. She is further survived by two sisters, Brenda and Robintina Dickenson; four brothers, Richard, Mark and Bruce Dickenson, and Greg Elm; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a great aunt, Frieda Bergeon.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Boyd; her parents; a grandson, Jonathon; and her companion, Jeffrey Fish.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem, officiating. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Friday from noon until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A parish wake service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
