Haffner leads Wildcats to regional final Christian Haffner scored 35 points to lead the second-seeded Gresham High School boys basketball team to a 66-41 win over third-seeded Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in the WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal Friday in Gresham. Haffner, a junior guard who eclipsed 1,000 career points this week, also had six assists for the Wildcats (17-6, 13-5 Central Wisconsin Conference-10). Neil Cerveny added 11 points. Killian Eggert led the team with nine rebounds. Scott Cerveny had six points and nine assists. Nicholas Lilienthal and Branson Witucki each had 15 points to lead Wisconsin Valley Lutheran (12-12). Gresham will travel to top-seeded Wausau Newman Catholic (18-6, 10-4 Marawood-South) Saturday. Truckers lose regional semifinal The second-seeded Clintonville High School boys basketball team was upset by No. 3 Tomahawk 29-23 in the Division 3 regional semifinal Friday in Clintonville. Tyler Petermann led Clintonville (9-13, 5-11 Eastern Valley) with seven points. Jared Jarvensivu led Tomahawk (11-12, 11-10 Great Northern) with eight points. Other scores Division 4: No. 8 Bonduel lost to No. 1 Auburndale 46-31 in the regional semifinal Friday in Auburndale.
