Beverly Jean Peters, 65, of Keshena, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Appleton. Born on Feb. 16, 1949, in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Laverne (Pyawasay) Pamonicutt.
After attaining her CNA certification, Beverly worked as a teacher’s aide for a local day care facility and as a hall monitor at the Menominee High School. She then worked at the Wolf River CBRF as a certified nurse’s aide. She married Robert Peters, who preceded her in death on June 29, 1980. Beverly was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. When not at work, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Beverly is survived by six children, Robert Peters, Gaynel Peters, Bridget Peters, Brian (Ashley Sanapaw) Peters, Richard (Darcy) Peters, Steven (Tony) Peters; 18 grandchildren, Joseph Peters, Crystie, La-tisha and Nee-Gee Cloud, Todd Corn Jr., La-tasha, Nathen and Brian Teller, Jessica Fish, Aleeyah, Brian Jr. and Brianna Peters, Andre James, Ramon, Beverly and Talia Peters, Devon and Denae Peters; 21 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Gerrilynn Tourtillott, Pat Tourtillott, Brenda (Juan) Pamonicutt, Geraldine Billarreal, Clara Pamonicutt; and two brothers, Gerald Pamonicutt Jr. and Mark Pyawasay.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, a daughter in infancy, her parents and her grandparents, Ethel Oshkenanew Pyawasay and Robert Pyawasay.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Richard and Darcy Peters residence, N653 Chief Shunien Road, Keshena, from 4 p.m. Saturday until the procession leaves for the church on Monday. A parish wake service will be held at the residence on Sunday at 7 p.m.
